Fireman's Hat with Stiched Wave Motif

Japanese firefighter's hat of layered and quilted cotton.  The bottom of the hat features decorative stitching in the shape of a wave. The top of the hat has an unusual metal plate with a kanji character, likely of the fire group.   The hat is sunbleached in several areas.
